Larry Deuel, a limo driver who appeared in Post Malone’s 2020 “Tommy Lee” video, claims the rapper never paid him despite promises to “take care of him.”

Post Malone is facing a major lawsuit from his former limousine driver, who claims the rapper never paid him for appearing in the 2020 music video for “Tommy Lee.”
The driver, Larry Deuel, who also works as a teacher, says that Post Malone and collaborator Tyla Yaweh asked him to drive them to Malone’s ranch for the shoot. Once there, Deuel alleges they invited him to appear in the video, promising he’d be “taken care of” for his participation.
According to TMZ, Deuel says he took that to mean he would be compensated — but according to his lawsuit, he never received any payment. In the video, Deuel can be seen performing various tasks like unrolling a carpet, opening doors, and standing beside his limo, making him part of the on-screen production.
Back in 2020, Post Malone released “Tommy Lee” with Tyla Yaweh, a track named after the Mötley Crüe drummer himself. The music video — which featured flashy cars, a private jet, and scenes shot on Malone’s Utah property — quickly racked up millions of views online.

Fans praised the collaboration for blending rock and hip-hop influences, and the video even included a cameo from Tommy Lee, who played drums in parts of the clip. At the time, there was no public mention of any disputes or unpaid participants involved in the shoot.
The lawsuit accuses Malone and Yaweh of fraudulent inducement, breach of contract, and misappropriation of name and likeness, since Deuel says he never signed away rights to his image. He’s now seeking at least $10 million total — including $2.5 million in damages and another $7.5 million in punitive damages.
Over the years, Post Malone has faced a few lawsuits related to unpaid work or creative credit, though none as unusual as this one.
In 2022, he settled a lawsuit with a former collaborator who claimed he co-wrote parts of the hit “Circles.” The new case involving the “Tommy Lee” video adds to a list of behind-the-scenes controversies that have occasionally surrounded the chart-topping artist.
Despite these disputes, Malone has maintained a reputation as one of the most laid-back and fan-friendly stars in the industry.
Neither Post Malone nor Tyla Yaweh has responded publicly to the claims.
