Ludacris teases a major Fast & Furious film for the franchise’s 25th anniversary, hinting it may not be the final ride after all.

Ludacris is teasing something major for Fast & Furious fans!
In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE at a Waymo x Uber event, the rapper and actor — real name Christopher Bridges — hinted that the next installment in the high-octane franchise will be a major milestone.
“I’m working on one more Fast and Furious because it’s [the] 25-year anniversary,” he said, referencing the original film’s 2001 debut.
Now 47, Ludacris has played Tej Parker since 2 Fast 2 Furious in 2003 and was last seen in 2023’s Fast X.
While there’s been buzz that the next movie, Fast X: Part 2, will wrap things up, Ludacris left room for speculation, saying, “Will it be the last? I don’t know, but we shall see.”
He also pointed out that many franchises say they’re ending, but still leave the door open — and that might be the case here too. “It kind of left people hanging,” he said of Fast X, adding that a return to surprise fans is likely.
Fast X made nearly $705 million globally, with nearly 80% of that total coming from international audiences.
The film starred franchise regulars like Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Dwayne Johnson.
Vin Diesel has been calling the next film the “grand finale,” emphasizing that it’s more of a celebration of the Fast family than just a goodbye.
The movie doesn’t have a release date yet but is rumored for summer 2026, aligning with the franchise’s 25th anniversary.
Whether it’s truly the end or the start of something new, fans can expect a high-octane tribute to one of Hollywood’s biggest action series.
