Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt from Hulu’s hit The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are joining Dancing With the Stars Season 34 this fall.

Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about casts in years, as it welcomes two breakout reality stars from Hulu’s hit series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck—both originals on the show since its September 2024 debut—announced during their series’ reunion special that they’ll be hitting the ballroom this fall.
From the moment it launched, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives grabbed viewers’ attention. Season 1 quickly became Hulu’s most-watched unscripted series, and when Season 2 premiered on May 15, 2025, it surpassed those inaugural numbers by drawing five million views in its first five days alone.
Leavitt and Affleck have been at the center of much of the drama, with their personal journeys providing some of the show’s biggest moments.
Whitney Leavitt arrived on the scene in Season 1 as the cast’s so-called “villain.” She repeatedly removed herself from the group’s #MomTok chat, distancing herself from the other influencers and stirring plenty of online debate.
By Season 2, however, Leavitt made a concerted effort to mend fences—rejoining conversations, patching up friendships, and showing a more vulnerable side.
While most of her castmates welcomed her back, one influencer, Mikayla Matthews, remained skeptical, keeping that tension alive for viewers to follow.
Jen Affleck’s arc in Season 2 was equally dramatic, but for very different reasons. Early episodes focused on her rocky marriage to husband Zac Affleck, with the couple working through public disagreements and rumors of a split.
Then came the surprise pregnancy announcement—her third child—and a brief reunion with Zac. Affleck was clearly overjoyed, only to step away from filming when prenatal depression set in.
As June 27 approached, fans held their breath; Affleck posted on Instagram that she was in labor, but has yet to confirm her baby’s arrival publicly.
Despite those challenges, Variety reports that central cast member Taylor Frankie Paul has extended an open invitation for Affleck’s return.
Paul empathized with Affleck’s struggles, saying, “She stepped away for her mental health and is taking it step by step.
She’s been wanting to come back, and we’re very welcoming to her… Jen, take care of yourself and when you’re back, we’re ready for you.” That supportive stance highlights the tight-knit bond that’s developed among the women off-camera.
Leavitt and Affleck join a diverse roster of celebrities set to compete in Season 34, following the earlier announcements of wildlife conservationist Robert Irwin and social media influencer Alix Earle.
Fans can look forward to seeing Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough return as co-hosts, alongside judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough.
The new season will premiere on ABC and Disney+ in the fall, with next-day streaming available on Hulu.
With this lineup—mixing reality stars, influencers, and familiar DWTS faces—Season 34 promises fresh storylines, heartfelt moments, and, of course, plenty of spectacular dance routines.
