President Donald Trump’s latest jabs at Taylor Swift have done little to dent the pop superstar’s momentum, with new data showing that Swift remains one of the industry’s most powerful forces even without a 2025 release.

On Truth Social last week, Trump celebrated actress Sydney Sweeney’s “great jeans” American Eagle campaign and her Republican affiliation, taking the opportunity to declare that Swift, whom he labels “woke,” is “no longer hot.”

Yet industry figures paint a starkly different picture: through July 31, Swift topped Luminate’s rankings as the highest-streaming female artist in the United States, amassing 5.3 billion on-demand audio streams so far this year. That places her third overall, behind only country star Morgan Wallen and rap icon Drake—both of whom have issued new material in 2025.

Swift’s impressive streaming tally is only one facet of her ongoing commercial dominance. Earlier this year, she successfully regained control of her master recordings from Big Machine Records, concluding a protracted legal and business battle.

According to industry tracker Hits Daily Double, reclaiming those masters is projected to secure Swift a market share of approximately two percent—translating into a catalog worth billions of dollars in royalties and licensing fees.

Meanwhile, Swift’s Eras Tour, which wrapped up in December after 149 dates, remains the highest-grossing concert tour ever recorded. The trek shattered the $1 billion revenue barrier, setting a new benchmark for live performances.

Even in the studio, Swift’s star power persists: upon the release of her 2024 album The Tortured Poets Department, she shattered her own record for most-streamed album in a single day, eclipsing the figures set by her 2022 blockbuster, Midnights.

Industry analysts note that Swift’s ability to sustain such high levels of engagement without new music, touring, or public appearances underscores her unique position in global pop culture.

While her rivalry with Trump has captured headlines, insiders say her wider appeal and strategic catalog management have fortified her status far beyond the reach of political squabbles.

In short, Trump’s assertion that Swift is “no longer hot” contradicts the evidence: from streaming leadership and record-breaking tours to a windfall from reclaimed masters, Taylor Swift’s career remains remarkably robust—and shows no sign of cooling off.
