Nearly 30 years after Tupac Shakur’s murder, shocking allegations about music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs have resurfaced.

According to a 2025 DEA document obtained by USA Today, former South Side Compton Crips leader Duane “Keefe D” Davis once again claimed that Diddy offered a $1 million bounty on Tupac and Death Row Records boss Suge Knight back in the mid-1990s.

Keefe D first made these claims during police interviews in 2008 and 2009, suggesting that Combs expressed hostility toward both men, reportedly saying he would “give anything for those dudes’ heads.” Davis insists, however, that no money was ever delivered.

Though Diddy has never been charged or officially named a suspect in the Las Vegas investigation, the rumors have lingered for decades. Former Bad Boy security guard Gene Deal has also suggested that Eric “Von Zip” Martin may have played a role in the alleged arrangement.

For his part, Combs has strongly denied the accusations. Mopreme Shakur, Tupac’s brother, even revealed that Diddy personally called him in the 2000s to clear his name, saying man-to-man that he had nothing to do with the rapper’s death.

Tupac was gunned down on September 7, 1996, in a drive-by shooting while riding with Knight near the Las Vegas Strip. He died six days later, at just 25 years old. The murder, along with the 1997 killing of Tupac’s East Coast rival, The Notorious B.I.G., has remained one of hip-hop’s greatest unsolved mysteries, fueling endless speculation and conspiracy theories.

Meanwhile, Keefe D was arrested in September 2023 and charged with murder with a deadly weapon. Prosecutors allege he acted as the “on-site commander” who ordered Tupac’s killing.

His trial is set for February 9, 2026, ensuring that Shakur’s murder—and the lingering allegations against Diddy—will continue to dominate headlines.
