Rexha ejects fan and threatens legal action after object-throwing incident at concert
Pop star Bebe Rexha recently had a concertgoer removed and threatened legal action after the person allegedly attempted to throw an object at her mid-performance.
This incident is just the latest in a string of similar occurrences for the 34-year-old singer, who has faced several instances of audience misconduct during her shows.
The incident occurred during one of Rexha’s festival performances, captured in a fan-filmed video shared on social media. In the video, Rexha is seen addressing the crowd member sternly.
“If you hit me with something on the stage, I will take you for everything you’ve f—ing got,” she declared. “Do not f—ing play with me right now.”

Rexha didn’t stop there. She demanded the audience to identify the person responsible. “Which one? Point me to the person.
I want to see them,” she said, scanning the crowd until she spotted the individual. “Out. Get the f— out. That’s it. It’s done for you.” The disruptive concertgoer was then removed from the venue, allowing Rexha to restart the song and continue her performance.
This isn’t the first time Rexha has had to deal with such behavior from her audience. Last month, multiple attendees at a concert in Wisconsin were ejected for throwing items at her.
During that show, Rexha reminded the crowd of the serious consequences of such actions, referencing a previous incident where she was injured by a thrown phone.
“If you want to hit me in the face, I had them press charges to the other guy. I would love to become richer,” she remarked, clarifying that she was joking and not encouraging the behavior.
The June 2023 incident she referred to occurred during a concert at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City. Rexha was hit in the forehead with a phone, which split her eyebrow and caused a black eye.
She had to leave the stage and was treated by medical staff before being taken to the hospital for stitches.
The perpetrator, Nicolas Malvagna, was arrested and faced multiple charges, including third-degree assault and aggravated harassment. Reports suggest he is now working towards a community service requirement to have the charges dropped.
Rexha’s frustration with these recurring incidents is palpable. Her reaction during the latest incident underscores her determination to protect herself and her right to perform safely. “Do not f—ing play with me right now,” she warned, making it clear that she will not tolerate any attempts to disrupt her shows or harm her.
Adding to her frustration is her recent outspoken criticism of the music industry. In a series of posts on X, Rexha revealed her feelings of being undermined and punished within the industry. “I could bring down a BIG chunk of this industry.
I AM frustrated. I have been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for the longest time,” she wrote. Her posts hinted at deeper issues she has faced, with Rexha suggesting she might reveal more about her experiences if things do not change.
“Things must change or I’m telling ALL of my truths. The good the bad and the ugly,” she concluded.
Rexha’s openness about her struggles and her firm stance against audience misconduct highlights a broader issue faced by many performers. The safety of artists on stage is paramount, and the repeated instances of objects being thrown at Rexha raise serious concerns.
Concert venues and organizers must take stronger measures to ensure such behavior is not tolerated and that appropriate security measures are in place to protect performers.
Rexha’s experiences serve as a reminder of the respect and consideration that should be afforded to all artists. The repeated disturbances she has faced not only impact her safety but also her ability to connect with her audience and perform without fear.
As Rexha continues to speak out against these issues, it is hoped that both the industry and concertgoers will take heed and contribute to creating a safer environment for all performers.
