Charter guest Jack Freeman leaves the ‘Below Deck Mediterranean’ crew scrambling after late-night requests for Sichuan chicken — and even ignores yacht safety rules.

The Below Deck Mediterranean crew was left speechless when returning charter guest Jack Freeman made a surprising late-night request during Season 10, Episode 4.
After enjoying an elaborate eight-course tasting menu prepared by Chef Josh Bingham, Jack shocked the chef by asking for something completely unexpected: “Just a little chicken.”
Josh, who had spent the evening comparing his dishes to songs and his dinner to a full concert, was taken aback. “I’m sorry, what? The concert’s over. The lights are on. Everybody’s walking to their cars,” he exclaimed in a confessional interview.
The dinner had included inventive dishes like curry BBQ lobster with apricot purée, soft shell crab tempura, wagyu beef tacos, and crème brûlée for dessert. Yet Jack remained fixated on one simple dish.
Even as other guests protested — including Tayla, who pointed out Jack hadn’t even finished his dessert — he persisted, insisting on “just a little Sichuan chicken.” Chief stew Aesha Scott stepped in to help, serving truffle parmesan fries instead. However, Jack again left the food untouched, saying he wasn’t hungry anymore.
This wasn’t Jack’s first late-night fixation. The night before, he had made the same demand to stewardess Kizzi Kitchener, who, unable to find the proper recipe, improvised with leftover crew chili. By the time Kizzi delivered the food to his room, Jack was already asleep.
Kizzi later admitted she believed Jack wasn’t actually craving Sichuan chicken, but rather enjoyed seeing the crew go above and beyond. “I honestly don’t even think he wants Sichuan chicken,” she said.
Jack’s behavior extended beyond the galley. Later in the episode, he broke a major safety rule by attempting to swim in the ocean, despite being warned by bosun Nathan Gallagher that guests were not allowed in the water.
Deckhand Christian Trimino permitted him to put his feet in, but Jack slipped off the yacht’s swim platform into the ocean. Nathan quickly rushed to help, and Jack emerged unharmed.
From his late-night culinary requests to ignoring safety rules, Jack Freeman proved to be a challenging guest for the Bravado crew.
His insistence on his “specific” tastes and unusual demands left both the chefs and stewards scrambling — and made for an unforgettable episode of Below Deck Mediterranean.
