Bhad Bhabie’s friend Ricky “Loopy” Ferrell was arrested for allegedly shaking her mom and grabbing her phone in an August confrontation caught on video.
Ricky “Loopy” Ferrell — rapper, producer, and frequent collaborator of Bhad Bhabie — has been arrested in Florida following a months-long investigation into an altercation involving Bhad Bhabie’s mother, Barbara Bregoli.
According to new records, Ferrell was taken into custody Thursday and booked on a charge of simple battery tied to a physical confrontation that occurred back in August.
The incident unfolded outside a home co-owned by Bhad Bhabie and her mother in Palm Beach County. Authorities say the clash began during a heated verbal exchange between Ferrell and Barbara.
Initial reports in August indicated that deputies viewed Barbara as the aggressor at the scene, and neither party was arrested or cited at the time. However, the case remained open as investigators continued gathering evidence and interviewing those involved.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a detailed review of video footage from the altercation before issuing the warrant that ultimately led to Ferrell’s arrest.
Investigators say the footage shows Ferrell grabbing Barbara’s Apple iPhone 15 Pro out of her hand and shaking her multiple times as she attempted to regain possession of the device.
The video also reportedly captures Barbara walking to her car and removing a gun, though authorities emphasize that she never pointed the weapon at Ferrell nor placed her finger on the trigger.
Police say this contradicts statements Ferrell made in a sworn interview, in which he claimed Barbara had threatened him with the firearm. The footage instead shows Ferrell placing Barbara’s phone on the trunk of the vehicle before leaving the property.
After re-interviewing both Ferrell and Barbara and analyzing the video evidence, investigators determined Barbara to be the victim in the dispute, prompting the issuance of an arrest warrant for Ferrell. He was taken into custody Thursday and later released.
