Lively surprised by backlash after release of her movie “It Ends With Us”
Blake Lively, a famous actress, was surprised and upset by all the negative attention she got when her new movie It Ends With Us came out.
According to a source close to her, Lively didn’t expect this reaction and wasn’t ready for the drama that followed the release of the film last month.
The source explained, “Lively was very surprised by the backlash and the drama. She felt really upset and vulnerable because it seemed like every day she was in the news, and not for good reasons. She’s not used to being in this kind of situation.”
Lively, who is 37 years old, felt like things were out of control. But despite this, she loves her work and wants to keep making projects that she cares about. “She enjoys her job and will continue to work on things she’s excited about,” said the source.
It Ends With Us has become the most successful movie of Lively’s career, making over $300 million at the box office worldwide. But things weren’t easy for her.
There were rumors about problems between Lively and the movie’s director and co-star, Justin Baldoni. They didn’t take pictures together on the red carpet at the premiere and didn’t do interviews together to promote the film, which made people wonder if they were having issues behind the scenes.
On top of that, some people online complained about the way the movie was advertised. They felt the ads made it look like the movie was a light romance, but it actually deals with serious topics like domestic violence and trauma.
Some clips from Lively’s interviews, both old and new, were also shared on social media, and people started criticizing her.
Even with all this, Lively has stayed positive about the movie. She has talked about how important the film’s message is and how proud she is of it.
After the movie’s opening weekend, she posted on Instagram, saying, “It Ends With Us tells the story of a woman’s life — the good times and the hard times. We are really proud of it. Thank you for sharing the same love, pain, and joy that we felt while making it.”
Lively’s co-star, Brandon Sklenar, also spoke up in support of her and the other women who worked on the movie. He wrote on Instagram, “It doesn’t make sense to criticize the women who put their hearts into this film. The movie’s message is important, and people should focus on that.”
Even though It Ends With Us has made a lot of money, it’s not clear if there will be a sequel. The author of the book, Colleen Hoover, wrote a second book called It Starts With Us, and Justin Baldoni, who directed the first film, has the rights to turn it into a movie.
He even suggested that Lively could direct the sequel if it happens, but nothing is confirmed yet.
For now, Lively is focusing on her next project, A Simple Favor 2, where she’ll star alongside Anna Kendrick. Despite all the challenges, Lively is excited to keep working on projects that she loves.
