The “Hot to Go!” singer turns her pop success into purpose, raising $400,000 from tour ticket sales to benefit trans youth and LGBTQ+ support centers nationwide.

Chappell Roan is turning her rising pop stardom into a force for good.
The breakout artist has announced the launch of The Midwest Princess Project, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to supporting trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities across the United States.
Through proceeds from ticket sales on her recent sold-out U.S. tour, Roan has already raised an impressive $400,000. The funds will be distributed to several organizations providing crucial services to queer and trans individuals, including the Ali Forney Center and The LGBT Center in New York City, Trans Wellness Center and TransLatin@ Coalition in Los Angeles, as well as The GLO Center and The Center Project in her home state of Missouri.
In a statement shared on Instagram, Roan described the project as a “love letter to the queer Midwest,” inspired by her own upbringing and experiences as a queer woman from Missouri. “This is about giving back to the places and people who shaped me,” she said. “I know how hard it can be to feel seen and supported growing up queer in the Midwest. This project is my way of saying — you’re not alone.”
Fans can also contribute directly through The Midwest Princess Project’s official website, which accepts online donations to further expand its reach. The initiative aims to continue raising funds through future tours and collaborations, with plans to support both local grassroots groups and larger LGBTQ+ centers.
The launch comes at a time when trans rights and queer visibility remain under intense scrutiny across the country, particularly in conservative-leaning regions. By connecting her artistic identity to meaningful advocacy, Roan is using her platform to provide tangible aid to communities often underserved or targeted by discriminatory legislation.
The project’s name is a nod to Roan’s acclaimed debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which chronicles her journey of self-discovery, queerness, and empowerment. Just as her music has resonated with fans seeking authenticity and representation, the initiative continues that message in action.
With The Midwest Princess Project, Chappell Roan joins a growing number of artists leveraging their influence for social impact — blending pop culture and purpose to create real change.
