Dylan Efron melts hearts on ‘DWTS’ as he dedicates a touching performance to his 5-year-old sister Olivia — dancing to brother Zac Efron’s hit song from ‘The Greatest Showman.’

Dylan Efron turned Dancing With the Stars into an emotional family affair on Dedication Night, delivering a contemporary routine that left judges and viewers wiping away tears.
The Season 3 star of The Traitors dedicated his Week 5 performance to his little sister, Olivia, and brought her onto the ballroom floor for an unforgettable moment.
Performing to “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman — a subtle nod to big brother Zac Efron — Dylan opened the routine by sharing a warm, candid rehearsal moment about their sibling bond. He explained that he “wasn’t expecting to be a big brother,” noting the 30-year age gap, and said he wanted to teach Olivia to “live life with confidence.”
The clip showed the sweetness of their relationship: Olivia calling Dylan her best friend, and Dylan calling their love “authentic.”
Before the show, Dylan’s life and career already reflected his adventurous and family-oriented spirit. Born on February 6, 1992, Dylan Efron is the younger brother of actor Zac Efron. Over the years, he’s built his own identity in Hollywood as a producer and media personality—working behind the scenes on films like Ready Player One and American Sniper, and serving as a producer on Down to Earth with Zac Efron.
He also competed in and won The Traitors Season 3, which helped boost his fame ahead of joining Dancing With the Stars.
Olivia, the little sister who inspired Dylan’s dance, has also been a bright light in the Efron family. Born on December 25, 2019, she’s the half-sister of both Zac and Dylan from their father’s second marriage. Zac first introduced her to fans in 2021, calling her his “little heartbreaker.”
Since then, the brothers have often shared adorable family photos and beach moments with Olivia, giving fans a glimpse of their sweet sibling bond — the same one Dylan highlighted on the DWTS stage.
Onstage, the pair had a tender moment before the main routine began. Olivia, in a pink leotard, giggled and danced with Dylan as he lifted and spun her, then ran to the side as he joined pro partner Daniella Karagach for a powerful contemporary number.
The choreography balanced intimacy and athleticism — dramatic lifts, clean lines and emotional partnering — culminating with Olivia sprinting back into her brother’s arms for a heart-melting finale.
Judges praised the performance for its vulnerability and technical strength, awarding Dylan and Daniella a glowing 36 out of 40. Their score followed last week’s personal best quickstep, proving Dylan’s steady ascent on the ballroom leaderboard.
Though Olivia’s appearance marked her first onstage moment this season, she’s become a steady presence in the audience, often cheering for Dylan alongside their parents and younger brother, Henry. The family’s visible support has underscored the emotional throughline of Dylan’s run on the show: this is as much about connection as it is about technique.
Between the family-first dedication and show-stopping moves, Dylan’s Week 5 performance reinforced why DWTS remains a stage for both spectacle and sincere storytelling. Whether you were rooting for the lifts or the sibling love, it was hard not to be moved.
