Investigation Discovery Expands True-Crime Lineup with New Series

Investigation Discovery adds three new true-crime series, including Cabin in the Woods.

Investigation Discovery is adding three new true-crime series to its September lineup, continuing its tradition of gripping, real-life crime storytelling.

The network will premiere How (Not) To Get Rid of a Body on September 4. This series delves into the extreme lengths some killers go to in their attempts to cover up their crimes. Each episode presents new material and follows detectives as they work tirelessly to bring these criminals to justice. The show is produced by Blackfin, known for its work on Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez.

Next, on September 9, The Real Murders on Elm Street will debut. This six-part series looks at shocking murders that have shattered the peace of small suburban towns across America. Each episode explores a different murder case that took place on one of the many Elm Streets in the country, showing how quickly tranquility can turn into tragedy. This series is produced by Grandma’s House Entertainment.

Also launching on September 9 is Cabin in the Woods, which investigates crimes committed in isolated cabins. The series combines investigative work with a true-crime-meets-true-horror approach, offering a chilling look at these remote, haunting crime scenes. Blumhouse Television and ITV America’s Leftfield Pictures produced the series in association with Spring Theory.

These new additions join Investigation Discovery’s growing roster of true-crime content, including the upcoming Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior and the renewed Lost Women and Feds, further solidifying the network’s status as a leader in true-crime programming.
