Jack Osbourne is keeping his father’s memory close to his heart in a very personal way.

Exactly one month after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, Jack, 39, stepped out in Los Angeles wearing a Black Sabbath T-shirt — a nod to the band that made his dad a rock legend. On Friday, Aug. 22, he was photographed in the sentimental tee, paired with black shorts, gray sneakers, a baseball cap, and white sunglasses while running errands at a local Walgreens.

The gesture comes after Ozzy’s passing on July 22 at the age of 76. According to his death certificate, obtained by PEOPLE, the heavy metal icon died from “out-of-hospital cardiac arrest” and “acute myocardial infarction,” with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction listed as contributing factors.

Ozzy’s family — including wife Sharon, 72, and children Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and his children from previous relationships — shared the heartbreaking news in a statement at the time, writing, “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”

The family said their final goodbyes during an emotional funeral procession on July 30 in Birmingham, England, the city where Ozzy’s legendary career first began.

Jack, who is a father of four, later broke his silence on Aug. 6 in a touching Instagram tribute. “My heart has hurt too much,” he wrote, sharing that he was “so lucky and blessed” to call Ozzy his dad. His post included a video montage of unseen family moments, from throwback photos to sweet clips of Ozzy with his grandchildren.

While fans continue to mourn the Prince of Darkness, Jack’s quiet but powerful fashion tribute shows that Ozzy’s influence — both as a rock star and a father — will never fade.
