Jackie Chan jokes he’ll be 100 making Rush Hour 4 as he confirms interest in reviving both Rush Hour and Shanghai Noon franchises.

Jackie Chan is still game to return for Rush Hour 4—but he’s joking it better happen soon or he and co-star Chris Tucker will be too old for the action.
While promoting his upcoming role in Karate Kid: Legends, the 70-year-old star told ScreenRant that he’s interested in doing another Rush Hour movie, but the delay has him worried.
“Hurry up!” he said. “Otherwise, Chris Tucker and me [will be] 100 years old. We’ll be old men doing Rush Hour.”
The fourth installment has been in talks for years. Back in 2017, Chan revealed he and Tucker had finally agreed on a script.
The original trilogy—directed by Brett Ratner and released in 1998, 2001, and 2007—grossed over $850 million globally.
Chan also expressed interest in reviving another fan-favorite franchise: the Shanghai Noon series.
He confirmed a third film, titled Shanghai Dawn, is still in development. Plans for the sequel go back to 2016, with Owen Wilson expected to return and Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) attached to direct.
So while nothing is official yet, Jackie Chan’s ready to revisit his iconic roles—as long as the studios move fast enough to beat Father Time.
