JoAnna Garcia Swisher recently sat down with PEOPLE to share her excitement about the upcoming fourth season of Sweet Magnolias, which promises to be more intense and engaging than ever.

The Netflix series, beloved by fans for its heartwarming and dramatic storytelling, has wrapped up production for its fourth season, though an official premiere date has yet to be announced.

Swisher, known for her role in Reba, is thrilled about the latest season, hinting that it will be full of jaw-dropping moments.

“I think that it’s a function of a lot of things,” says Swisher, 44, who is also promoting her partnership with Post-it® Brand and Scotch™ Brand for their new all-in-one Back-to-School Countdown Kit. “First and foremost, a lot happens in season 4 — like, jaw-dropping moments.

I also think that we know our characters so well. We’re so involved and in love with these stories, and I think that the fans also have that same sense of connection and being on this journey with us.”

Swisher emphasizes that this season isn’t short on romance, emotional highs, and heartbreaking lows. “It’s got all of the Sweet Magnolias things, but it’s just in a package of pedal to the metal,” she continues. “There’s not just one or two things that happen this season. And literally, the first half of the season.”

The sheer volume of action and drama in the upcoming episodes left Swisher breathless while reading the scripts. “I was trying to catch my breath when I was reading the scripts because at the end of every episode I was like, ‘What?'” she recalls.

“I feel like I was ready for that, in general, just having read the scripts. And then, when it all kind of came to pass and we actually made the show, I was like, ‘This is going to be insane.'”

The cast of Sweet Magnolias officially finished filming the fourth season in May, and while Swisher has to keep the plot details under wraps, she’s been keeping busy with another exciting project.

Swisher has teamed up with Post-it® Brand and Scotch™ Brand to launch their ultimate all-in-one Back-to-School Countdown Kit. This kit is designed to help parents and children ease back into the school routine with 21 interactive projects and tips.

Swisher, who has daughters Emerson Jay and Sailor Stevie with husband Nick Swisher, is passionate about this collaboration.

“It’s been one of my most favorite partnerships because these are products that I love and use and are a huge part of my daily life,” she shares.

“So when Post-it and Scotch Brand approached me about the back-to-school countdown kit that they had planned to help parents be prepared for back to school in a way that they were excited about and fun and get kids involved, I was like, yes, I am completely in.”

The kit includes a variety of tools to help make the back-to-school transition smoother and more enjoyable. “I got my Back-to-School Countdown Kit a little early, so I got to tear into it and enjoy it.

It has this really great little calendar that literally is a countdown, that talks about different things that you could do to be prepared for back to school. Also, really fun projects using Post-it and Scotch Brand products that are some of our favorites. It’s a really great kit.”

From July 11 through July 19, a limited quantity of these kits will be available on the Post-it website. Swisher encourages parents to take advantage of this resource to make the back-to-school season more manageable and fun.

As fans eagerly await the release of Sweet Magnolias Season 4, Swisher’s enthusiasm and hints about what’s to come are sure to heighten their anticipation.

With her involvement in both the show and her new partnership, Swisher is staying busy and engaged, bringing her passion to every project she undertakes.

For now, viewers can rewatch Seasons 1-3 of Sweet Magnolias on Netflix to relive the journey so far.

And while the premiere date for Season 4 remains a mystery, one thing is clear: the upcoming season is set to deliver the emotional rollercoaster fans have come to love, with even more intensity and drama.
