Lily Allen, the renowned singer and songwriter, recently shared some candid details about her personal life, specifically her dynamic with husband David Harbour.

Speaking on her podcast, “Miss Me?” in an episode titled “Listen Bitch! The Sex Stool,” Allen, 39, opened up about her sexual preferences and how they play out in her marriage to the “Stranger Things” actor.

During the podcast, Allen humorously admitted that she sometimes turns down Harbour’s requests in bed. Reflecting on her past, she revealed she was more promiscuous towards the end of her previous marriage to Sam Cooper, which lasted from 2011 to 2018.

However, in her current marriage, she occasionally finds herself saying no to Harbour, 49, when he asks for certain things.

“I wonder if I kink-shame my husband,” Allen mused during the conversation with her co-host, Miquita Oliver. “Because he often quite asks for things, and I’m like, ‘No, babe, it’s not happening.’”

She clarified that her refusals are not harsh, adding with a laugh, “I’m not like, ‘You piece of s—, how dare you ask me to do that!’ I’m just like, ‘Hmm, headache. Little headache, got a bit of a headache — maybe not tonight.’”

Beyond their bedroom dynamics, Allen also discussed the control her husband has over her phone apps.

In a previous interview with The Sunday Times, she shared that she now uses a phone called Pinwheel, designed for kids, which lacks browsing capabilities and social media but includes essentials like Uber and Spotify.

Harbour acts as the caregiver for her phone, determining which apps she can access. Interestingly, Allen holds the same control over Harbour’s phone.

Allen and Harbour’s relationship became public in 2019, and by September 2020, they had tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony.

The wedding, officiated by an Elvis impersonator, was a charmingly unconventional affair, attended by Allen’s daughters, Marnie Rose, 11, and Ethel Mary, 12, from her previous marriage.

Reflecting on their relationship in a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, Harbour expressed deep gratitude for having Allen in his life. “I’m so grateful that I’m not alone anymore, and that I have someone that I can tell everything to and who can tell me everything,” he said.

Harbour, who described much of his life as solitary before meeting Allen, emphasized the joy of sharing life’s journey with someone special. “We can share this experience of walking through life together,” he continued. “I’m always so overcome with gratitude for that because I’ve been alone for most of my life.”

Allen’s openness about her relationship and personal life offers a glimpse into the couple’s dynamic, marked by humor, mutual respect, and a touch of playfulness. Despite their busy careers, they appear to maintain a strong bond, navigating the challenges and joys of marriage together.

Their story also highlights the importance of communication and understanding in relationships. Allen’s light-hearted approach to discussing their intimate life shows that it’s possible to address personal topics with humor and honesty.

Meanwhile, Harbour’s comments reflect his appreciation for their partnership, underscoring the significance of finding a companion with whom to share life’s ups and downs.

As Allen continues to share more on her podcast, fans get to see different facets of her life, beyond the music and public persona.
