The horror sequel lands in theaters this December with new animatronic frights and familiar faces.

Megan Fox is diving into the world of animatronic nightmares. The actress has officially joined the cast of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 as the voice of Toy Chica, one of the haunting mechanical mascots set to terrorize audiences once again.
The announcement was made during Jason Blum’s BlumFest panel at New York Comic Con, where the upcoming sequel was one of several highly anticipated Blumhouse projects showcased. The film will hit theaters on December 5, just in time for a chilling holiday season.
Alongside Fox, the new cast lineup includes MatPat, the popular YouTuber and Game Theory creator, voicing Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff, known for his video game voice work, taking on Toy Freddy. They’ll join returning stars Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Elizabeth Lail, and Piper Rubio, all reprising their roles from the first movie.
Director Emma Tammi is also back at the helm after the first film’s massive success. The studio teased a haunting new tagline for the sequel: “Anyone can survive five nights. This time, there will be no second chances.”
The original Five Nights at Freddy’s, released in October 2023, was a box-office phenomenon. Based on the wildly popular video game series, the movie followed Hutcherson’s character, a troubled night guard who discovers that the animatronic mascots at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza have a murderous side.
The film went on to earn $297 million worldwide, making it Blumhouse’s highest-grossing film ever, all while streaming simultaneously on Peacock.
With Fox’s addition, the sequel looks to bring even more star power and intensity to the franchise. Known for her roles in action-packed and suspenseful films like Till Death, Night Teeth, and The Expendables 4, Fox is no stranger to playing tough characters in high-stakes stories.
Her most recent project, Subservience, saw her starring alongside Michele Morrone in a futuristic thriller.
As horror fans gear up for round two at Freddy Fazbear’s, expectations are high. Between returning cast favorites, new voice talents, and fresh animatronic villains, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 promises to be even scarier — and bloodier — than before.
