Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup celebrated their second wedding ceremony in Mexico City on June 8, 2024, marking the occasion with a stunning event a year after their courthouse wedding in New York City.

The couple, both 55, initially tied the knot in a low-key ceremony at a Manhattan courthouse in June 2023. This second celebration allowed them to share their joy with friends and family in a more elaborate setting.

The celebration was confirmed by Naomi’s brother, Ben Watts, a photographer, who posted a video on Instagram showing the couple in an elevator, Naomi wearing a white gown and holding a bouquet of white flowers, while Billy stood behind her in a dark suit.

Naomi’s son Kai, 15, and niece Ruby served as bridesmaids, both dressed in strapless nude gowns. Naomi’s other son, Sasha, 16, and Billy’s son, William Parker, 20, also attended the event.

Ben’s Instagram post, soundtracked by Frank Sinatra’s “Love and Marriage,” captured the group’s excitement as they headed to the ceremony. The video showed Ben filming in the reflection of the elevator doors as the family waved and smiled.

Leading up to the ceremony, Ben shared more details on his Instagram Stories, including a casual photo of himself with Naomi, both dressed for a relaxing day before the evening event. Another clip showed his daughter Ruby getting ready in a hotel room, with Ben noting her role as a bridesmaid.

The event venue was revealed in a video posted by Ben, showcasing a beautifully arranged room filled with rows of chairs and guests mingling in formal attire.

Among the attendees were actors Justin Theroux and Nicole Kidman. As the ceremony began, Ben shared a touching moment with his and Naomi’s mother, Myfanwy Edwards Roberts, who appeared emotional as the event started.

Earlier that day, Ben posted a video from a welcome event, featuring Naomi in a yellow floral dress and Billy, along with Sasha, Theroux, and Nicole Brydon Bloom.

Naomi gave a heartfelt speech to the gathered guests, emphasizing the importance of love and gratitude. “This is a reminder of what life’s about.

The affirmation of love being one of the simplest things, but the most important,” she said, holding Billy’s hand.

The evening’s event planning and venue setup were documented by destination wedding planner Billy Folchetti, who shared images and videos of the ceremony space and dinner setup on Instagram.

The venue featured elegantly arranged chairs and light installations, and the reception included a disco ball and DJ Prince01.

Naomi and Billy’s relationship has been a subject of public interest since they starred together in the Netflix series “Gypsy” in 2016.

Their relationship was confirmed in July 2017, but they kept it mostly private until their red carpet debut at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in February 2022.

Engagement rumors sparked in April 2023 when Naomi was seen wearing a diamond ring in New York City and again during an appearance on the Today show, where she playfully deflected questions about the ring.

The couple’s first wedding was an understated affair, as Naomi revealed during a January 2024 appearance on “Live with Kelly and Mark.”

She shared that they wanted to keep it simple, even sourcing her flowers from a local bodega. Reflecting on their relationship, Naomi expressed gratitude for finding love later in life, describing it as a special and meaningful connection.

Their second wedding celebration in Mexico City allowed Naomi and Billy to share their joy with loved ones in a more traditional and festive manner. The event was a beautiful reminder of their journey together and the enduring nature of their love.
