Shane Gillis’s workplace comedy series Tires has been officially renewed for a third season at Netflix, with a 2026 premiere date.

This announcement arrives just weeks after Season 2 debuted on June 5, marking a quick turnaround that underscores the show’s warm reception and the streamer’s confidence in its creative team.

Originally conceived and self-financed by Gillis, Tires began as a six-episode first season that Netflix picked up alongside a deal for an additional stand-up special from the comedian.

That initial gamble paid off: the show’s offbeat humor and fresh workplace dynamic resonated with viewers, prompting Netflix to green-light subsequent seasons.

In parallel, Gillis’s 2023 Netflix special Beautiful Dogs became a breakout hit, cracking the top ten in five countries and holding a spot on the U.S. charts for two weeks.

At the heart of Tires is Will (Steven Gerben), the nervous but well-meaning heir to a family-owned auto repair chain.

His cousin Shane, portrayed by Gillis himself, returns as a new hire whose constant antics and biting humor push Will to his limits.

Season 1 laid the groundwork for their fraught relationship, introducing a colorful supporting cast—Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Stavros Halkias—who bring additional layers of comedy and conflict to the garage floor.

Season 2 picks up immediately after the duo’s biggest marketing gambit yet: an off-the-books campaign that unexpectedly goes viral.

As Will and Shane navigate the fallout of their sudden success—balancing customer backlogs, corporate scrutiny, and personal misgivings—the series deepens its exploration of small-business struggles and family loyalty.

Guest stars including Andrew Schulz, Vince Vaughn, Thomas Haden Church, Ron White, Jon Lovitz, Veronika Slowikowska, and Steph Tolev add fresh comic energy and narrative spice throughout the season.

Behind the scenes, Gillis and Gerben developed Tires in partnership with co-creator and director McKeever, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Gillis via Dad Sick Productions.

Additional executive producers include Brandon James (Rough House), Brian Stern and Kenneth Slotnick (AGI Entertainment Media & Management), and Becky Astphan, ensuring a robust production infrastructure.

With a blend of sharp workplace comedy, relatable underdog characters, and a track record of streaming success, Tires has cemented itself as one of Netflix’s most promising original comedies.

Season 3 is poised to build on that momentum, offering another round of high-jinks, heartfelt moments, and the trademark banter that fans have come to love.
