Paris Hilton, the socialite turned pop star, has announced her return to the music scene with her second album, “Infinite Icon,” set to be released on September 6.

This announcement comes nearly 20 years after her debut album in 2006, which included the hit single “Stars Are Blind.”

On Thursday, Hilton, 43, revealed her plans for the new album, and shared that the first single from “Infinite Icon” will drop in June, though she has kept the title of the single under wraps.

The announcement was teased in a video posted on Instagram on May 29, which featured several high-profile celebrities like Kris Jenner, Lance Bass, Demi Lovato, and Dakota and Elle Fanning.

In the video, they ask Hilton what the surprise is and urge her to reveal the details.

The upcoming album signifies a new chapter for Hilton, who has continued to remain a public figure and business mogul since her reality TV days in the early 2000s.

In a recent interview with Billboard, Hilton shared that she has been working on new music with Sia.

The two first collaborated on the single “Fame Won’t Love You” and decided to create an album together after a memorable performance of “Stars Are Blind” with Miley Cyrus during her New Year’s Eve special on NBC in 2023.

Hilton recounted how Sia invited her to fly back to Los Angeles together after the performance, during which Sia suggested that Hilton pursue her long-time dream of being a pop star more seriously.

“Sia asked if I wanted to fly home with her on her plane, and we went, and she said, ‘You were born to be a pop star.’ I said ‘That’s always been my dream.’ She was like, ‘Well, what about if we did a record?'” Hilton said.

During the production of “Infinite Icon,” Hilton discovered a new level of confidence in her singing abilities, thanks to Sia’s encouragement. Known for her signature breathy, baby doll voice, Hilton revealed that she found her “real voice” in the studio.

“I literally didn’t even know I could sing the way I did,” she told Billboard. “She brought something out of me that nobody ever has. Because I never ever really felt comfortable with people in the studio.”

Since the release of her debut album “Paris Hilton” in 2006, Hilton has sporadically released singles, including “I Need You” in 2018 and “Hot One” in 2023. However, “Infinite Icon” marks her first full-length album in almost two decades.

Hilton’s life has changed significantly since her initial foray into the music world.

Besides running multiple successful businesses, she has also married Carter Reum and welcomed two children: son Phoenix Barron, 16 months, and daughter London Marilyn, 6 months.

Despite these changes, Hilton has remained connected to her roots in both the music and reality TV industries.

In addition to her new album, Hilton is set to reunite with her “The Simple Life” co-star Nicole Richie for a new reality show on Peacock.

This reunion is highly anticipated by fans of the iconic early 2000s reality show and signals that Hilton is still embracing the spotlight and her role as a pop culture icon.

Hilton’s return to music with “Infinite Icon” is an exciting development for her fans, who have waited nearly two decades for a follow-up to her debut album.

With the influence of Sia and a newfound confidence in her vocal abilities, this album promises to showcase a different side of Hilton’s musical talents. The release of the first single in June will give fans a taste of what to expect from the full album in September.

Hilton’s journey from reality TV star to business mogul and now a returning pop star demonstrates her versatility and enduring appeal.

As she steps back into the music industry, she continues to build on her legacy as a multifaceted entertainer and entrepreneur.

“Infinite Icon” is poised to mark a significant milestone in Hilton’s career, blending her past experiences with her current aspirations in the world of music.
