Power gathered at the Hammerstein Ballroom to mark its 10th anniversary.

The event was not only a nostalgic look back at the show’s journey but also a celebration of the premiere of the fourth and final season of its popular spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost.

The red carpet was rolled out for the evening, and it saw the arrival of some of the most notable stars from the Power universe.

Among them were Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora, and Michael Rainey Jr., each of whom has played pivotal roles in making Power a household name over the past decade.

Their presence was a testament to the show’s enduring legacy and its significant impact on television culture.

Joseph Sikora, who has been a part of the franchise from the beginning, couldn’t help but express his deep gratitude for the journey. “The first and the most overwhelming feeling is that of gratitude,” said Sikora, now 47.

Reflecting on the show’s longevity, he quipped, “Anything that lasts 10 years is longer than most Hollywood marriages, so I’m really excited to be here and I’m so grateful.” Sikora didn’t shy away from praising Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, acknowledging him as the best boss he has ever had.

“He has been loving, kind, and accessible, and has taken my career to the next level,” he added.

For Naturi Naughton, who has portrayed Tasha St. Patrick for ten years, the celebration was equally significant. “It feels amazing to be celebrating the anniversary and the final Ghost premiere,” said Naughton.

She shared how being part of such an epic series has been a transformative experience. “It’s been a long time coming, creating something that changed the culture and just being celebrated,” she shared.

Naughton, who has seen her character evolve over the years, described the moment as bittersweet, highlighting the many personal milestones she achieved during her time on the show.

“I became a mother on the show. I had my husband. So many things happened, and it really helped me become the woman I am. So it makes me feel proud,” she added.

Michael Rainey Jr., who plays Tariq St. Patrick and leads Power Book II: Ghost, found himself reflecting on his personal growth alongside his character’s. “It’s crazy to be at the final premiere after spending close to half my life in the Power world,” said Rainey Jr., now 23.

He joined Power as a 12-year-old and has grown up with the show. “With me stepping into as the young kid I was, I really didn’t know what I was thinking. It literally just grew, and it grew up in front of my eyes, as I was growing up,” he recounted.

Naughton echoed these sentiments, sharing how she watched Rainey Jr. evolve from a boy to a man. “I definitely feel like I mothered him throughout these years, and it’s hard to let go,” she said, her voice tinged with maternal pride.

The event was not just a reunion of old friends but also a chance to appreciate the broader Power family.

Stars from other entries in the franchise, including Power Book III: Raising Kanan’s Patina Miller and Joey Bada$$, were present, along with Ghost cast members Mary J. Blige, Method Man, Gianni Paolo, and Woody McClain.

The evening was filled with emotions as cast members shared their thoughts on the show’s impact and their experiences over the years.

Gianni Paolo, who portrays Brayden Weston, summed up the evening’s sentiment perfectly. “People are saying it’s the end, it’s the final season, they’re upset, but I’m just happy that I got to do this,” said Paolo, 28.

“It really was a blessing every day. Every day, I had fun. And yeah, it’s sad that it’s coming to an end, but I’m more grateful that it just got to happen.”

As the stars celebrated a decade of Power, they also looked to the future with optimism.

The premiere of Power Book II: Ghost’s final season marks the end of an era, but the franchise’s impact on television and culture will undoubtedly continue.

The cast’s reflections were a reminder of the show’s significant role in shaping their careers and personal lives.

The season 4 premiere of Power Book II: Ghost is now streaming on Starz, inviting fans to witness the culmination of a series that has redefined drama and storytelling on television.
