In a remarkable nod to Taylor Swift‘s early musical journey, a rare CD recorded by the singer when she was just 11 years old has been sold at auction for an impressive $12,505.

This autographed six-track disc was sold on Saturday, June 15, through Goldin Auctions, reflecting the enduring allure of Swift’s early work and her monumental rise to stardom.

The CD is a nostalgic glimpse into Swift’s beginnings, featuring both original recordings and cover versions of songs by notable artists like Dolly Parton and The Chicks.

According to Goldin Auctions, Swift recorded this CD while living in Reading, Pennsylvania.

At the time, she was actively pursuing her musical dreams, even taking a trip to Nashville with her mother, Andrea, to shop the CD around to various labels.

On the CD, Swift’s name is prominently printed, along with the track list and a black-and-white portrait of the young singer-songwriter.

Her large, black signature now semi-obscures some of the contact information printed on the disc. This rare piece of memorabilia provides fans with a tangible connection to Swift’s formative years in the industry.

The track list on the CD includes “Am I Ready for Love,” written by Celina Berman-Gray, and “Can I Go With You,” co-written by Greg McElrath and Swift herself. The disc also features covers of The Chicks’ “There’s Your Trouble,” LeAnn Rimes’ “One Way Ticket (Because I Can),” Dolly Parton’s “Here You Come Again,” and Olivia Newton-John’s “Hopelessly Devoted To You.” These tracks offer a unique perspective on Swift’s early influences and her budding talent as a vocalist and performer.

Swift’s career has since catapulted her to unparalleled heights. The singer recently celebrated the 100th show of her blockbuster Eras Tour at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool, England, on Thursday, June 13.

This milestone is a testament to her enduring popularity and the massive scale of her current tour. Following the performance, Swift took to Instagram to share her reflections on the journey so far.

“So many dreamy memories from Liverpool!! We played our 100th show on The Eras Tour (which feels truly deranged to say because this show feels new to me every time we play it),” Swift wrote.

She expressed gratitude to her dedicated crew, fellow performers, and band members who have all contributed countless hours to making the show a success.

Swift’s appreciation for their work ethic, creativity, and dedication shines through in her heartfelt message.

Swift also highlighted the enthusiasm of the Liverpool crowds, noting their expressiveness, generosity, and the sheer fun they brought to the performances.

She revealed that the three shows at Anfield Stadium broke the all-time stadium attendance record, further underscoring the significant impact of her tour.

“Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend,” she added. “AND thank you to everyone who has come to any of the shows on The Eras Tour. It’s been the adventure of a lifetime because of you.”

The Eras Tour, which continues to draw massive crowds, resumed on Tuesday, June 18, at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

The European leg of the tour will run through Tuesday, August 20, before Swift returns to North America for a series of shows across the United States and Canada.

The auction of her early CD not only highlights the value of her early work but also serves as a reminder of her relentless pursuit of her dreams.

As she continues to captivate audiences worldwide, Swift’s story remains an inspiring testament to the power of talent, hard work, and unwavering determination.
