Jason Segel and Harrison Ford return for Season 3 of Apple TV+’s Emmy-nominated dramedy, joined by newcomers Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox.
Apple TV+ is bringing back one of its most beloved comedies. The streamer has officially announced that Shrinking will return for Season 3 on January 28, 2026, kicking off with a special one-hour premiere episode. After that, fans can look forward to a new episode every Wednesday through April 8.
The Emmy-nominated dramedy stars Jason Segel as Jimmy, a therapist trying to navigate life after loss. In the show, Jimmy starts breaking all the professional rules—ditching filters and telling his clients exactly what he thinks. His unorthodox methods lead to chaotic, hilarious, and surprisingly healing consequences for everyone involved, including himself.
Segel returns alongside an all-star ensemble, including Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. A few fan-favorite guest stars are also back, such as co-creator Brett Goldstein, Damon Wayans Jr., Wendie Malick, and Cobie Smulders. And this season, the cast gets even more impressive — Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox are joining in new roles that Apple TV+ is keeping tightly under wraps.
Since debuting in 2023, Shrinking has earned praise from critics and audiences alike for its mix of heart and humor. The series has racked up several major award nominations, including Emmy nods for Segel, Ford, Williams, and Urie, and a Best Comedy Series nomination at the 2025 Emmys. Created by Bill Lawrence (Ted Lasso), Segel, and Goldstein, the show comes from Warner Bros. Television and Doozer Productions. The trio serves as executive producers along with Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Randall Winston, Rachna Fruchbom, Brian Gallivan, Ashley Nicole Black, and Bill Posley.
Season 3 will feature 11 episodes and promises to dive even deeper into the emotional and comedic chaos of Jimmy’s world — balancing grief, friendship, and the unpredictability of therapy.
