Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, is already fueling intense speculation — and insiders say it could include tracks referencing both Donald Trump and former best friend Blake Lively.

While the album’s official details remain scarce, fans know its signature color will be orange, and leaked track lists have sparked theories about its inspirations. One source told Daily Mail the project is “not a political record,” but Swift “has a lot to say,” especially about the backlash she’s faced since publicly supporting Kamala Harris.

Swift recorded several songs during the height of excitement around Harris’ campaign last year, reportedly determined to prove wrong those who claimed her career “broke” because she went “woke.”

Trump has made Swift a frequent target on Truth Social, posting statements like “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” mocking her public appearances, and even suggesting she’s “no longer hot.” Fans believe the rumored track “Cancelled!” could be a pointed response to these attacks.

The album may also touch on Swift’s strained relationship with Blake Lively. Their friendship was pulled into Lively’s legal battle with actor Justin Baldoni, in which court filings revealed texts allegedly referring to Swift as one of Lively’s “dragons.”

Reports at the time suggested Swift felt “used” and didn’t appreciate the reference. While there have been whispers of reconciliation, insiders say she initially wrote about Lively last year but decided not to make the feud a focal point.

Instead, she reportedly reshaped the project to keep a more positive, “feel-good” tone. Still, the supposed track “Ruin the Friendship” has fans guessing it might address their fallout.

The inclusion of personal and potentially controversial subjects reflects Swift’s willingness to mix vulnerability with defiance in her music.

Though neither the track list nor these rumored themes have been officially confirmed, the buzz surrounding The Life of a Showgirl suggests it could be one of her most talked-about releases yet.

With Swift’s history of turning public drama into chart-topping art, all eyes will be on the album’s October 3 release to see just how far she’s willing to go in addressing her critics and former allies.
