Travis Barker, the iconic drummer of Blink-182, is excited to bring his family along on his musical journey.

At the inaugural “Run Travis Run” wellness event on July 6, Barker shared his pride in having his 20-year-old son, Landon Barker, join him and his bandmates as a guest artist on their upcoming tour dates.

“He was at home rehearsing the last few days and I got to see him,” Barker said, beaming with pride about his son’s preparation. The Los Angeles event, which featured a 5K run and other wellness activities, showcased Barker’s commitment to both his family and his wellness brand, Barker Wellness.

Travis Barker, 48, has been a significant figure in the music industry for decades, and his involvement in wellness is an extension of his passion for a healthy lifestyle. The drummer has been instrumental in helping his son, Landon, navigate his musical journey, offering guidance and support whenever possible.

“I’ve been helping him with music, while I’m home, here and there,” Barker explained. “So yeah, I’m really proud of him.” This sentiment underscores the close-knit bond between father and son, as they prepare to share the stage during Blink-182’s tour.

The Run Travis Run event, held at the Kia Forum ahead of a Blink-182 concert, was a family affair. Barker’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian, and his stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya, were present, showing their support for the drummer.

Both Atiana, 25, and Kardashian donned all-black athletic wear, matching Travis’s attire for the event.

Kourtney Kardashian, 45, and Travis Barker share an 8-month-old son, Rocky Thirteen Barker, and each has three children from previous relationships. Kardashian’s children—Mason, Penelope, and Reign—are from her relationship with ex Scott Disick.

Meanwhile, Barker shares Landon, Atiana, and daughter Alabama with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.

The event highlighted the couple’s shared passion for wellness. Barker emphasized that Run Travis Run aims to make running accessible and enjoyable for everyone. “I don’t want it to be discouraging,” he told PEOPLE. “It should just be fun, and I feel like everyone can get out and do 5Ks.”

Barker’s initiative to promote wellness is not confined to Los Angeles. The next Run Travis Run event is scheduled for July 21 in Queens, New York.

The drummer hopes these events will inspire people to embrace a more active lifestyle. “Even if they see this, and they don’t run it, maybe it motivates them to get outside,” he said.

The bond between Travis and Kourtney was also a focal point of the event. The couple’s relationship, rooted in their mutual love for wellness, has grown stronger over time.

“One of the main reasons we were so close is because we would always work out together, run together or do stuff like that together before we were ever in a relationship,” Barker shared.

Their history as workout buddies laid the foundation for their romance, culminating in their wedding in 2022.

Throughout the pre-concert wellness event, the couple’s affection for each other was evident. They shared a kiss among the participants, showcasing their supportive and loving relationship.

Barker’s initiative to “get people outside” is a testament to his dedication to wellness and the support he receives from his family.

The Run Travis Run event was a success, blending music, family, and fitness seamlessly. Travis Barker’s pride in his son’s musical endeavors, coupled with his commitment to wellness, paints a picture of a man dedicated to both his art and his family.

As Blink-182 prepares for their tour, fans can look forward to seeing Landon Barker join his father on stage, continuing the family legacy of music and performance.
