Music icon Taylor Swift, is still a dedicated fan of the long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

The confirmation came from Anthony Hill, who plays Dr. Winston Ndugu on the ABC series, via an Instagram post on June 5.

Hill shared his recent interaction with Travis Kelce, revealing the singer’s ongoing love for the show, while the Kansas City Chiefs tight end admitted that he doesn’t partake in watching it with her.

In his post, Hill humorously noted, “1 • I may or may not have gotten confirmation that TSwift does, in fact, still watch Grey’s Anatomy. It was then made very clear that he absolutely does not watch with her …time to start bruh!” Hill’s post included details and photos from the 15th annual Big Slick Weekend fundraiser, which took place on June 1 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The event, which supports the Children’s Mercy Hospital, was attended by a slew of celebrities including Kelce, fellow Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes, and actors Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd, Eric Stonestreet, Heidi Gardner, and Rob Riggle.

Hill continued his post with enthusiasm about the event: “2 • Listen, when I’m playing for the kids at Children’s Mercy Hospital I’m LOCKED TF IN.” He also shared a few more highlights, including, “3 • “Friendly Fued” Team 5S, led by our fearless captain Mr. Paul Stephen Rudd. 4 • Rainy day at The K and the good people of KC showed up anyway. What a city.” He praised Kansas City’s community spirit, concluding, “5 • Mahomes to Kelce from the best seat in the house. (ft. Jason Sudeikis on the drums) 6 & 7 • Elevator selfies with the most random group of big hearts you’ll ever see. 8 We raised 3.97 MILLION dollars for @childrensmercy in 3 DAYS!! This goes to show one reason I love Kansas City so much, the people are phenomenal. So happy I got to be part of it.”

Swift’s affection for Grey’s Anatomy is well-documented. She has been a fan of the show for years and even invited Ellen Pompeo, who plays Dr. Meredith Grey, to star in her “Bad Blood” music video in 2015.

Pompeo shared the story on Jimmy Kimmel Live, saying, “Her people called my people and were said, ‘Would you like to be in this video?’ And I was like, ‘Of course, that would be so fun. There’s an old lady section? I’m down.’”

Despite her love for the show, Swift’s pets have kept Pompeo at bay. Pompeo, who is allergic to cats, commented on the potential awkwardness of meeting Swift’s cat, which is named after her character. “I’m super allergic to cats. It’s going to be awkward,” she said in an interview.

Swift’s connection to Grey’s Anatomy extends beyond her admiration and friendships with the cast. Her song “White Horse” was featured in a season 5 episode of the show, a moment she described as “basically the best thing ever” in a resurfaced TikTok clip.

Swift elaborated on her love for the show in the clip, explaining, “I love Grey’s Anatomy because I think it’s the best example of dry, sarcastic humor I’ve ever seen mixed with drama. In life, there’s humor and there’s drama.”

She continued, “You know, when you’re watching comedies, it’s like, that’s awesome and makes you laugh and it’s light, but you know, when a breakup happens on a comedy — and they’re all just laughing about it all the time, and they don’t ever feel it — it’s hard for me to buy that because in real life, like you laugh about some things, but you cry about other things.”

Swift appreciates the balance of emotions in Grey’s Anatomy, stating, “So I think that Grey’s Anatomy has a great balance of real emotions slash dry humor.”

As fans enjoy Season 20 of Grey’s Anatomy, now streaming in full on Hulu, it’s clear that the show’s blend of humor and drama continues to captivate its audience, including Taylor Swift.

While Travis Kelce might not join her for the binge-watching sessions, his support for her interests and the couple’s shared community efforts, like the Big Slick Weekend, highlight their strong bond and commitment to making a difference together.
