Travis Scott, the renowned rapper also known as Jacques Bermon Webster II, was taken into custody in the early hours of Thursday, June 20.

The arrest, which occurred at 1:44 a.m., was prompted by an altercation on a yacht at the Miami Beach Marina, located at 300 Alton Road.

According to public records, Scott, 33, was booked into Miami-Dade County jail at 4:35 a.m. on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing after being warned to leave the property.

The combined bond for these charges totaled $650, with $150 assigned to the intoxication charge and $500 for the trespassing charge. The bond was posted on Thursday.

The Miami Beach Police Department confirmed the arrest and provided details about the incident. Officers responded to complaints of a fight on a yacht. Upon arrival, they discovered Scott engaged in a loud argument with other individuals on the vessel.

The arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE outlines the officers’ interaction with Scott. It states that officers detected a strong smell of alcohol on Scott’s breath.

When officers attempted to conduct their investigation, Scott initially complied by sitting down but soon began standing up repeatedly, ignoring officers’ commands.

The complainant, who had called the authorities, opted not to press charges but did request that Scott leave the yacht. Police instructed Scott to leave the dock area, warning him that failure to comply would result in his arrest.

Despite being told to leave, Scott walked backwards while yelling obscenities at the yacht’s occupants during the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk.

After leaving the premises, Scott returned approximately five minutes later, disregarding officers’ commands to stay away.

He resumed yelling and acting erratically, which disturbed the peace of the marina and nearby residential buildings.

At this point, police arrested Scott for causing a public disturbance and transported him to the Miami Beach Police Department. During the interaction, Scott admitted to drinking alcohol, reportedly stating, “It’s Miami.”

Travis Scott shares two children with makeup mogul Kylie Jenner: daughter Stormi, 6, and son Aire, 2. The couple, both high-profile celebrities, have often been in the public eye, with Scott’s music career and Jenner’s business ventures drawing significant media attention.

Scott is currently between stops on the European leg of his Utopia-Circus Maximus Tour, which began in October to promote his latest album, Utopia. He is scheduled to perform next in the Netherlands on June 28 and June 30.

The incident at the Miami Beach Marina adds to a series of controversies that have surrounded Scott in recent years.

In November 2021, his Astroworld Festival in Houston became the site of a tragic crowd surge that resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

The event led to widespread criticism of Scott and the festival organizers, raising questions about concert safety and crowd control measures.

Reactions to Scott’s arrest have been mixed. Fans have expressed concern for the rapper’s well-being and future performances, while critics have pointed to the incident as another example of the challenges associated with celebrity culture and public behavior.

As of now, there has been no official statement from Scott or his representatives regarding the arrest.

The Miami Beach Police Department’s detailed account of the incident has provided insight into the circumstances leading to the charges, but it remains to be seen how this will impact Scott’s ongoing tour and public image.

The situation highlights the often tumultuous nature of life in the public eye, where personal actions can quickly become headline news. For Scott, the arrest is another chapter in a career marked by both tremendous success and notable controversies.

Moving forward, it will be crucial for Scott to address the legal and personal implications of this incident. His ability to navigate these challenges will likely play a significant role in shaping the next phase of his career and public life.

As fans and observers watch closely, the outcome of this situation will undoubtedly influence Scott’s future endeavors, both on and off the stage.
