Spicy, sweet, and perfect for your next BBQ!
- 1 pound large shrimp (16-20 count), peeled and deveined - 2 tablespoons olive oil - 2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Sriracha) - 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce - 1 teaspoon garlic powder - 1 teaspoon paprika - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes - Salt and pepper to taste - Skewers (wooden or metal)
Peel and devein the shrimp if not already done. Pat dry with paper towels.
In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, hot sauce, honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
Add the shrimp to the marinade and toss to coat. Let sit for 15-30 minutes.
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes. Thread the shrimp onto skewers, about 4-5 per skewer.
Preheat grill to medium-high. Grill skewers for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and slightly charred.
Serve with lime wedges, cilantro, and your favorite dipping sauce.
For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes. You can also bake the skewers at 400°F for 8-10 minutes if you don’t have a grill. Enjoy!
