Prince William is resuming public duties after supporting his wife, Kate Middleton, during her recovery from abdominal surgery.
Kate, 42, left the hospital last Monday after almost two weeks of care following her surgery.
Prince William, 41, has been caring for their three children during Kate's recovery at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate.
William will host his first public outing with investitures at Windsor Castle on behalf of his father, King Charles.
William would then attend the annual fundraising gala for the London Air Ambulance, showing his continued interest in and patronage of the organisation.
King Charles is also recuperating after an operation for an enlarged prostate.
The investiture event will involve honoring individuals with awards for New Year or the monarch's birthday.
