Yolanda returns with her first album in 13 years, Sunny Days, featuring 15 uplifting tracks
Yolanda Adams, the well-known gospel singer, has just released her new album Sunny Days Sept. 13. This is her first album in 13 years.
The album has 15 songs, including two versions of her hit single “Church Doors.” At 63, Yolanda Adams is still known for her powerful and uplifting voice. Many people remember her from her 1999 album Mountain High…Valley Low, which featured the popular song “Open My Heart.”
Yolanda is thrilled to share her music again. She loved making her old album and is just as excited about this new one. She worked with music producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, who helped her with some of her biggest hits before.

The album took a while to finish because of delays, including the pandemic and her role in a TV show called Kingdom Business. But it was finally completed in 2023, with a couple of extra songs added at the suggestion of Sylvia Rhone, the head of Epic Records.
One of the songs, “Church Doors,” has a fun remix in the music video. Yolanda says her music reflects who she truly is and that she wants to stay true to herself.
Now at 63, Yolanda feels grateful and excited to keep making music. She’ll also be performing on The Reunion Tour this fall with other gospel stars.
You can listen to Sunny Days now and see Yolanda Adams perform live on her tour.
