Donald Trump’s rollercoaster relationship with Taylor Swift just took another wild turn.

The White House recently posted a TikTok video using Swift’s hit “The Fate of Ophelia”, and fans are not happy about it.

The clip features Taylor’s lyric “Keep it one hundred on the land, the sea, the sky…” alongside visuals of the U.S. military branches, followed by shots of President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and their wives Melania and Usha Vance when the song transitions to “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes.”

Swifty’s administrators condemned the use of their song without permission in their angry comments. One wrote, “Ohhh Taylor is going to hate you’re using her song,” while another sarcastically added, “I’m sure Taylor’s going to be thrilled.”

The backlash also reminded fans of Trump’s past comments about the pop star. Last year, he infamously declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” after she endorsed Kamala Harris. However, his tone shifted after Swift’s engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce — Trump congratulated the couple, calling Taylor “a terrific person.”

Despite his apparent change of heart, it’s unclear if Swift feels the same. She’s previously accused Trump of gaslighting Americans and mishandling the COVID-19 crisis.

Meanwhile, “The Fate of Ophelia” continues to dominate the charts, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 — even as its unexpected use in politics stirs fresh controversy.
