Things got real in Hollywood, Florida on Monday night — a shooting incident went down involving two names from the rap world. Rapper Lil Tjay has been arrested in connection with a dispute linked to a shooting, while rapper Offset was hospitalized after being shot.
According to police, the incident occurred in a valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock property, where a fight reportedly broke out. The Seminole Police Department confirmed that Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was taken into custody in connection with the incident. He has been charged with disorderly conduct (affray) and also faces a traffic violation.
Another individual was detained at the scene, though no charges have been filed against that person. Authorities said the investigation is still ongoing and the situation is under control.
After the incident, rumors started flying on social media claiming Lil Tjay was directly involved in the shooting. His attorney, Dawn M. Florio, shut that down fast — she made it clear he had zero involvement in the shooting and was neither shot nor charged with any shooting-related offense.
Meanwhile, Offset was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital after taking a gunshot wound. His rep says he’s in stable condition and still being monitored by doctors.
Word is that Lil Tjay and Offset have had beef in the past, going back to some comments made during a livestream in early 2025.
Offset is a member of rap group Migos, which he formed with Takeoff and Quavo.
Police are still investigating and looking into what exactly went down that night.
