Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ son, Joaquin Consuelos, just made his Broadway debut on April 9 with the opening of his first Broadway show.

The production is running at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City through August 9. Joaquin is part of the revival of Arthur Miller’s renowned play “Death of a Salesman,” directed by Joe Mantello, alongside Tony Award winners Nathan Lane and Laurie Metcalf.

This means a lot for the 23-year-old, who recently graduated in May 2025 from the University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theatre & Dance. On this important occasion, his parents, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, showed their full support and were seen with him at the afterparty held at Katz’s Deli.

Kelly Ripa gushed about her son’s performance, calling it unreal. She said everything from the production to the cast and staging was so good, but the most special moment for her was seeing Joaquin perform on stage. She also shared that seeing her kid actually do this had her in tears, honestly.

Meanwhile, Mark Consuelos is also having his own Broadway moment right now. He is appearing in the play “Fallen Angels,” which began previews on March 27 and is set to officially open on April 19. Mark had already seen Joaquin’s performance earlier, attending the first preview of the show on March 6.

He couldn’t stop talking about his son’s performance, saying he watched the entire three-hour show without taking his eyes off the stage and even became emotional.

Kelly Ripa was unable to attend the first preview because Joaquin had asked her to wait until opening night, and she actually listened. During that time, she traveled out of town, while Mark surprised their son by purchasing a ticket and attending the show.

“Death of a Salesman” follows an aging salesman, Willy Loman, as he deals with career failures, strained family relationships, and the collapse of his dreams. Laurie Metcalf plays Linda, the emotional anchor of the family, while Christopher Abbott and Ben Ahlers play their sons, Biff and Happy.

Joaquin appears in the play as the younger version of Biff in flashback scenes.

The show runs through August 9, and tickets are on sale now.
