Fans are hyped about Euphoria Season 3, but meanwhile, some big news dropped. The show’s fan-favorite composer Labrinth will not be part of the new season. He shared this information himself through social media.
Ahead of the Season 3 premiere and just before his Coachella performance, Labrinth called out the industry through an Instagram story. He said that people in this industry lie straight to your face and still play the honest card. Because of this, he pulled his music from the show.
Labrinth also clarified that he had spoken with HBO and he says there’s no bad blood with HBO. He said that whenever he works for someone, their vision always comes first for him. However, he also made it clear that he won’t let anyone disrespect him.

The show’s creator Sam Levinson once gushed about Labrinth in an interview. He said that Labrinth laid the whole musical groundwork for Euphoria and is one hell of a collaborator.
He also mentioned that Season 3 jumps five years ahead. The characters are now out of high school, so that pop-heavy sound from earlier seasons gets dialed back. The music will lean more into storytelling this time.
In Season 3, the music will now be handled by legendary composer Hans Zimmer. He will receive full composer credit in the new season, and yeah, that’s a pretty massive shift.
Labrinth blew up for his music in “Euphoria.” Several of his songs hit hard with fans, including “All for Us,” “Formula,” “Mount Everest,” and “Never Felt So Alone.” And worth mentioning — “Never Felt So Alone” features vocals from Billie Eilish and was nominated for a Grammy.
