Country music legend Alan Jackson has decided to bring his long and successful touring career to a close. During an emotional show in Milwaukee in 2025, he informed his fans that it was his final road show, and the crowd got real quiet.

While addressing the crowd, he shared that he’s winding things down. However, he also mentioned that although this was his last road show, there are plans for a grand finale performance in Nashville next summer. According to him, since his journey began in Nashville, it feels right to conclude it there. He described his journey as “long and sweet.”

Alan Jackson also reflected on his early struggles. He recalled how, about 40 years ago, he and his wife drove to Nashville with an old trailer in pursuit of their dreams. Since then, the journey has been one hell of a ride. He thanked his fans from the bottom of his heart, saying none of it would’ve happened without them.

At the end of the show, he once again thanked the audience and said he couldn’t have asked for a better sendoff. He blessed the crowd and expressed hope that he might see them again someday.

Although his decision is emotional for fans, it mostly comes down to his health and wanting more time at home with his family. Jackson began his career in 1987, and the career paid off in a big way too. According to available information, his estimated net worth is around $150 million, which puts him in the top ten richest active country artists in 2024.

He launched his “Last Call: One More for the Road Tour” in August 2024. In a video message, he shared that he has been touring for over 30 years and has performed across the country and parts of the world. Now, he is at a stage in life where he wants to spend more time at home. His daughters are grown, he has one grandchild, and another is on the way.

In 2021, Alan Jackson also revealed that he is dealing with a medical condition that affects his balance and ability to walk, which is another key reason behind his decision to step away from touring.

He has scheduled his final show for June 27, 2026, where several well-known artists will perform alongside him. This event is shaping up to be one final blowout show to close out his remarkable career.

In this way, Alan Jackson’s decision kicks off a whole new phase for him — one focused on health and family — but his music isn’t going anywhere.
