Offset is speaking out after a harrowing brush with death — and the former Migos rapper isn’t slowing down for anyone.

Sitting down with Andy Bachman on the Creators Inc. Podcast, recorded in Los Angeles, Offset broke down the details of his recent shooting and made clear he’s already back to business as usual.

“People get shot every day, and life goes on,” he said plainly — filmed just about a week after the incident, IV drip still in his arm.

The shooting went down on the night of April 6 outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. According to the FBI, a large group of individuals ambushed Offset in the valet area after 7 p.m., firing a single shot that struck him in the leg. The group then attempted to steal his watch — but walked away empty-handed. Suspects fled the scene in two Chevrolet SUVs: a matte gray Tahoe and a black Suburban heading in separate directions.

Seminole Police responded immediately, detaining two individuals at the scene. Offset was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and listed in stable condition.

Rapper Lil Tjay — real name Tione Jayden Merritt, 25 — was separately arrested in connection with an altercation that occurred before the shooting. He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and operating a vehicle without a valid license, then released on a $500 bond. His attorney, Dawn M. Florio, was quick to clarify: Lil Tjay was not armed and carried no gun-related charges.

The FBI’s Miami field office has since released photos of the vehicles and individuals tied to the incident, urging anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

As for Offset — born Kiari Kendrell Cephus — he didn’t stay off his feet for long. Within days of being discharged, he was back on stage performing at a music festival at the University of Arkansas, and has since done additional shows.

The shooting adds another grim chapter to a personal history already marked by gun violence. In 2022, Offset’s cousin and Migos bandmate Takeoff was shot and killed at the age of 28 — a loss Offset has spoken about publicly on multiple occasions.

Despite everything, Offset’s message coming out of the Creators Inc. interview is simple: he had to keep pushing, and that’s exactly what he’s doing.
