Look, if you’re going to go public with your controversial new relationship, at least own the statement. But according to TMZ, Amanda Batula had a very different answer when her “Summer House” Season 10 castmates came at her during the reunion about that joint announcement she and West Wilson dropped confirming their romance.
Per TMZ‘s sources, the co-stars had serious issues with the statement the couple shared online back in March and kept pushing to find out who actually wrote it. Amanda’s response? She laughed it off and told her angry castmates that ChatGPT penned the whole thing.
Amanda, a Season 1 veteran of the show, had married co-star Kyle Cooke back in September 2021, but the two announced their separation in January 2026 after four years of marriage.
West, on the other hand, had dated Amanda’s close friend Ciara Miller during Season 8 — a romance that ended badly by late 2023.

West was clear on his podcast that when things got serious between him and Amanda, everyone involved was already single — and that he realized things were getting “maybe a little bit serious” between them back in February.
Not gonna lie, the cast did not take this quietly. Kyle went on record in an April 2 TikTok video saying, “There’s some wild betrayal here. He basically threw his friendship with me away in one clean swoop. What happened to bro code?”
Ciara, meanwhile, told Glamour that experiencing this kind of hurt so publicly is “like another layer” of pain — and that she felt more betrayed by Amanda than by West, because Amanda had been in her corner for years.
Amanda did break her silence on April 10 via Instagram Story, apologizing to everyone she had “disappointed and hurt” and promising to address everything at the reunion.
West echoed that on his podcast, admitting that Amanda had “taken a big brunt of all of this” and wishing people would direct their frustration at him instead.
But still — the general vibe within the cast heading into reunion day was that they weren’t convinced they’d get the full truth from Amanda and West, no matter how many times the questions were asked.
Despite all the grilling, the drama, and the ChatGPT jokes — Amanda and West walked out of the reunion together. The seating at the April 23 taping put Amanda and Ciara directly on either side of Andy Cohen, with West right next to Amanda — and Kyle sitting directly across from his estranged wife and her new man.
