IMAX tickets for “Dune: Part Three” are on sale now. Theaters in select cities around the world have dropped tickets for 70mm screenings of the highly anticipated sequel.

The first batch of tickets dropped recently for director Denis Villeneuve’s film. These are for IMAX 70mm screenings scheduled during opening weekend — Dec. 17 through Dec. 20. For now, only one show per theater is available, set at 7 p.m. local time.

19 theaters are in the first wave. The list includes four locations in Los Angeles, two in San Francisco, and additional theaters in cities like London, Vancouver, New York City, Dallas, and Miami.

Tickets are selling fast — like, really fast. When tickets went live at 9 a.m. PST, several screenings sold out within minutes. No word yet on when more tickets drop.

All this is happening just weeks after the film’s first trailer dropped.

The movie stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Javier Bardem, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, Rebecca Ferguson, and Jason Momoa. Paul Atreides is Emperor now, but it’s not going well. He’s deep in a holy war he can’t walk back from, dealing with Bene Gesserit scheming, Tleilaxu threats, and a wife — Irulan — who’s not exactly on his side.

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures will release the film on Dec. 18.

IMAX tickets selling out in minutes — did that catch you off guard? You grabbing IMAX 70mm tickets or just gonna catch it at a regular showing?
