HBO will release a behind-the-scenes special on April 5, showcasing the making of its upcoming “Harry Potter” series, now filming in the U.K.
Harry Potter HBO series is set to release a special behind-the-scenes feature titled “Finding Harry: The Craft Behind the Magic” on April 5 on HBO.
This special will give viewers a look into the making of Season 1, which is currently being filmed at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the U.K.
The newly released trailer shows actors and crew members working on set. Camera operators are seen filming Hogwarts students, while production designer Mara LePere-Schloop is shown creating small models and building large-scale sets.
Actors Janet McTeer (McGonagall) and Paapa Essiedu (Snape) shared their experiences of seeing the sets for the first time. John Lithgow, who plays Dumbledore, said that the “Harry Potter” story is an extraordinary phenomenon and that reimagining it is a special opportunity.
LePere-Schloop described working on such a large scale as a designer’s dream and said the goal is to capture the joy and playfulness of a magical world.
At the end of the trailer, John Lithgow becomes emotional and says that he has waited a long time to be part of something so meaningful.
