Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors is back in the headlines for his upcoming action movie—but this time, it’s not because of the film itself. An on-set accident and an ongoing crew strike have put the project under serious scrutiny.

According to Deadline, Jonathan Majors and his co-star JC Kilcoyne were filming a scene when they accidentally stumbled backward into a glass window. The glass shattered, and both actors fell nearly six feet to the ground. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing crew members rushing in immediately to check on them after the fall.

Sources say Deadline the glass used in the scene had been temporarily installed as a sheet of tempered glass, which was originally meant to be broken later during a stunt that did not involve any actors. During the accident, JC Kilcoyne suffered injuries to his hands and required stitches, while Jonathan Majors is reportedly safe.

In a statement, JC Kilcoyne’s team confirmed that he is doing well and received immediate care from the production team. They also emphasized that he did not feel unsafe on set and had a positive experience working on the project.

The movie is directed by Kyle Rankin and backed by Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire along with Dallas Sonnier’s Bonfire Legend. However, producer Dallas Sonnier has drawn attention for downplaying the incident in his response.

Meanwhile, on March 26, the union IATSE called a strike against the production after several crew members walked off the set, citing labor-related concerns. Reports suggest that the on-set accident may have been the final straw for many involved.

In a social media post, IATSE stated that producers are actively seeking replacement crew and advised members not to cross the picket line. Despite the walkout, filming is said to be continuing in some capacity.

The project, currently working under the title “Knuckle,” is said to revolve around threats to the homeland and the warriors who rise to defend it. However, most details about the movie are still being kept under wraps.

It’s worth noting that Jonathan Majors’s career took a hit in 2023 following a domestic assault conviction, which led to his removal from major projects, including the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In recent months, he has been attempting a comeback with movies like Magazine Dreams and is also set to appear in “Merciless.”

Now, the big question is—will this controversy and strike derail the film, or can the project push through these challenges and move forward?
