R&B singer Kehlani has announced her fifth studio album, “Kehlani,” which is set to be released on April 24.

Earlier this month, the singer revealed on social media that the album had been completed and fully mastered. According to an official release, the self-titled project showcases “her most honest expression yet,” blending emotionally rich storytelling with a genre-fluid sound that has helped establish her as one of modern R&B’s most influential voices.

Ahead of the album, Kehlani has already dropped the lead singles “Folded” and “Out the Window.” “Folded” emerged as a major success, reaching No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track also inspired multiple remixes featuring artists like Brandy, JoJo and Toni Braxton.

In February, the song earned Kehlani her first wins at the Grammy Awards, taking home trophies for Best R&B Performance and Best R&B Song.

While further details about the album remain limited, Kehlani previously described the project as “a very confident body of work” during a November interview with “The Cruz Show.” She added, “I wanted to make an amazing R&B album, and I’m working with people I’ve always loved. For some reason, everything is just falling perfectly into place.”

Kehlani first rose to prominence with her 2015 mixtape “You Should Be Here,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album — a significant milestone for an independent artist at the time.

Her debut studio album “SweetSexySavage” (2017) debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, marking her transition from breakout mixtape artist to global R&B star.

On digital platforms, Kehlani has maintained a strong presence, with several tracks receiving RIAA platinum certifications.

Songs like “Nights Like This” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and “Gangsta,” featured on Suicide Squad, have performed strongly on global streaming charts.

She has also collaborated with major artists including Justin Bieber, Cardi B and Post Malone, underscoring her versatility across genres.

Kehlani’s journey began with her 2014 mixtape “Cloud 19,” and she has since built a steady catalog of releases. “Kehlani” follows her previous studio albums, including 2024’s “Crash.”

Shortly after that release, she dropped the mixtape “While We Wait 2,” featuring guest appearances from Lucky Daye, Lil’ Mo and Vince Staples.

In support of “Crash,” Kehlani launched a global tour in September 2024, which ran through March 2025.
