Kelly Clarkson’s highly anticipated Studio Sessions residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace was postponed at the last minute, with the first two shows—scheduled for July 4 and 5—canceled just hours before opening night.

In an Instagram statement, Clarkson explained that the intense preparation and rehearsals had “taken a toll” on her voice, and she needed immediate rest to “protect” herself from “doing serious damage.”

The Grammy-winning singer expressed devastation over disappointing fans and gratitude for their unwavering support, promising to reschedule the performances as soon as she’s fully recovered.

“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” Clarkson wrote.

“I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me, and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.

The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice.

I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”

She also praised her band and vocalists, noting that the show “is truly incredible” and that she wants everyone “to start out strong” when the residency resumes.

The Studio Sessions residency was first announced in February 2025 via a Business Wire press release, with 18 shows slated between July 4 and November 15.

This marks Clarkson’s return to Vegas following two sold-out PH Live engagements at Planet Hollywood in 2023 and 2024.

Citi, Caesars Rewards, Live Nation and Ticketmaster each held staggered presales, with general tickets going on sale February 14.

Opening night had sold briskly despite reports of softer demand overall—underscoring Clarkson’s enduring draw on the Strip.

Just hours before the postponement, Clarkson had shared rehearsal photos on Instagram, captioned “TONIGHT!! #OpeningNight #StudioSessions #VegasRehearsals,” and fans flooded her comments with excitement.

Many expressed disappointment alongside well-wishes for a speedy recovery, with messages like “Have a great show tonight!!” and “You look so good queen ❤️.”

Clarkson assured that she hopes to be back on stage as early as next weekend, reiterating her commitment to delivering a memorable, high-energy experience once her voice is fully rested.
