Tish Hyman urges women to speak out after Gold’s Gym incident, saying gyms lack laws protecting women’s locker room safety.

Singer Tish Hyman is continuing to speak out after claiming her Gold’s Gym membership was revoked for protesting a man’s presence in the women’s locker room.
In a new Instagram post, the “Dedicated To” artist shared an emotional message, calling on women to protect their safety and privacy in gyms across the country.
“Everyone please listen — this is a HUGE problem,” Hyman wrote in her post. “Most women don’t even realize there are no laws protecting us in gyms. Not just Gold’s — any gym. A man can simply say he identifies as a woman and walk right into the women’s locker room.”
Hyman said her goal is to raise awareness after she claims to have been “traumatized” by her experience. “I don’t want another woman to be scared like I was,” she continued. “Most women inside that day had no idea what was happening until I screamed for help.”
The singer encouraged her followers to take action, writing, “We shouldn’t have to wait until something terrible happens to take action. We are women — and we do not have to accept this.”
She urged her audience to “scream, get help, and protect yourself” if they ever find themselves in a similar situation. Hyman also included a petition link in her bio and asked supporters to tag @breakfastclubam and major blogs to spread her message.
In her post, she doubled down on her call for a Gold’s Gym boycott, writing, “Cancel your gym memberships! When they ask why? Say — because you don’t have trans locker rooms and protect women’s-only spaces. Until you do, you will lose business.”
The post quickly gained traction online, with many followers applauding Hyman for speaking out, while others criticized her remarks as transphobic.
Despite the backlash, Hyman appears determined to keep pushing the issue into the public spotlight, saying she’s “doing her part” and urging others to do the same.
