Victoria, daughter of Oscar winner Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead at a San Francisco hotel on New Year’s Day. Cause unknown.
The new year began with heartbreaking news for actor Tommy Lee Jones and his family.
His daughter, Victoria Jones, was found dead inside a luxury hotel in San Francisco early on New Year’s Day. She was 34 years old.
According to officials, emergency responders were called to the Fairmont San Francisco in the early morning hours after a medical emergency was reported. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly before 3 a.m. and assessed the situation. Sadly, Victoria was pronounced dead at the hotel.
After first responders confirmed the death, the case was handed over to the San Francisco Police Department and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police officers arrived soon after and met with paramedics who had already declared the adult woman deceased. The Medical Examiner then conducted an initial investigation at the scene.
At this time, authorities have not released the cause of death. Officials have also shared very few additional details as the investigation remains ongoing. Law enforcement has confirmed there is no public information yet about what led to her passing.
Representatives for Tommy Lee Jones have not commented on the loss so far.
Victoria was born to Jones and his first wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. While she largely stayed out of the Hollywood spotlight as an adult, she did have a brief acting career when she was younger. She made her film debut in Men in Black II in 2002, appearing alongside her famous father before she became a teenager.
She later appeared in popular TV drama One Tree Hill in 2003. In 2005, she acted in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a film directed by Tommy Lee Jones. The project was a family affair, as Jones’ wife, Dawn Laurel-Jones, also worked on the film as a stills photographer.
Though she stepped away from acting, Victoria remained a meaningful part of Jones’ life. News of her death has shocked fans and saddened many who followed the actor’s long career.
As questions remain unanswered, authorities continue their investigation. For now, friends, family, and fans are left mourning a life lost far too soon.
