Taylor Sheridan is expanding the Yellowstone universe once again — but this time, the focus isn’t land wars or power plays. It’s grief, healing, and starting over.

Paramount+ has dropped the first teaser for The Madison, a new neo-western drama starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. The series premieres March 14 and offers a quieter, more emotional take on Sheridan’s rugged world.

Instead of cattle ranch conflicts, The Madison centers on the Clyburn family, a wealthy New York City clan trying to rebuild their lives after a devastating loss.

Their journey takes them far from Manhattan to the Madison River Valley in central Montana — a place that promises peace but doesn’t come without pain.

The teaser sets the tone immediately. Pfeiffer’s character is seen collapsing into the icy Madison River before opening up in therapy.

“My center, my soul, is gone,” she says, clearly broken. Her therapist, played by Will Arnett in a surprising dramatic turn, calmly replies, “You will heal, if you let yourself.”

That short exchange hints at what The Madison is really about: emotional survival.

Kurt Russell stars alongside Pfeiffer, marking one of the rare times the Hollywood legends have teamed up in a TV drama. The cast also includes Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Beau Garrett, Kevin Zegers, Ben Schnetzer, Amiah Miller, and several rising young actors, giving the show a multi-generational feel.

While Yellowstone fans will recognize Sheridan’s signature Montana landscapes, The Madison appears more intimate and reflective. It explores how people carry grief, how families fracture and reconnect, and how nature can be both harsh and healing.

Behind the scenes, Sheridan created the series and serves as an executive producer through Bosque Ranch Productions. Pfeiffer and Russell are also executive producers, along with longtime Yellowstone collaborators.

Christina Voros, who has directed episodes across Sheridan’s TV universe, directs and executive produces as well.

The Madison is one of three Yellowstone offshoots currently in development. CBS will debut Marshals, starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, on March 1, while The Dutton Ranch — centered on Beth and Rip — is still awaiting a release date.

For fans craving something deeper and more emotional, The Madison looks ready to deliver. Will you be watching?
