Will Reeve has officially begun a new chapter of his life — and it started with a wedding filled with love, emotion and close friends.

The ABC News journalist, 33, married Amanda Dubin, 29, in Miami on Saturday, Jan. 17, PEOPLE confirms. The couple, who have been together since 2023, celebrated their union surrounded by family, friends and familiar faces from the world of television news.

Before the ceremony, emotions were already running high. Amanda’s mother, renowned event planner Victoria Dubin, shared a touching moment on Instagram, describing the instant her daughter left for her “first look.”

She wrote that the bride took their breath away and that the feelings she and Amanda’s father experienced were “palpable.”

The celebration drew several of Will’s ABC News colleagues. Robin Roberts shared glimpses of the festivities on Instagram, posting photos with wife Amber Laign, Sam Champion, Lara Spencer and others ahead of the ceremony.

Afterward, Roberts described the wedding as “a magical night celebrating a magical couple.”

Will, the son of the late Christopher Reeve and Dana Reeve, announced his engagement to Amanda in November 2024. The proposal, which took place in New York City, was anything but ordinary. Will later revealed that he disguised the moment as a fake charity event to keep Amanda — an experienced event planner — completely surprised.

The ruse worked, and the evening ended with roses, music and both families waiting nearby to celebrate the news.

Speaking to PEOPLE at the time, Will called the engagement “the happiest night of our lives” and said the couple couldn’t wait to spend their future together.

Wedding planning came with expert support. Amanda and her mother, Victoria, are both accomplished event planners, with Victoria leading the highly respected Victoria Dubin Events for more than 25 years.

When Will joked on Live with Kelly and Mark that he was marrying into a “double event planner family,” the hosts agreed it might be the most professionally planned wedding imaginable.

The couple first went public with their romance in April 2023 during a trip to Paris. Since then, their relationship has grown quietly but steadily.

As Will once shared on ABC News, love often arrives unexpectedly — and when it does, it can be the happiest moment of all.
