Travis Scott Makes an Epic Entrance in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’—and Fans Can’t Stop Talking

Travis Scott surprises NFL viewers with a bold first look in Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” blending music, myth, and movie magic.

When NFL fans tuned in for the AFC Championship game, they didn’t expect to also catch their first glimpse of Christopher Nolan’s next big-screen spectacle.

But during Fox’s broadcast, a new TV trailer for The Odyssey dropped—and one unexpected face instantly stole the spotlight: Travis Scott.

The rapper and global hitmaker appears in the teaser commanding a room full of soldiers, standing atop a table and demanding attention. Among the warriors are Tom Holland as Telemachus and Jon Bernthal as Menelaus, grounding the mythic moment with familiar Hollywood faces.

It didn’t take long for clips of Scott’s scene to spread across social media, with fans buzzing about his dramatic presence and Nolan’s bold casting choice.

For Scott, this role marks another creative crossover with Nolan. The two previously worked together on Tenet, when Scott recorded the track “The Plan” for the film’s soundtrack.

At the time, Nolan praised Scott’s instincts, calling his creative input an essential part of shaping the movie’s sound and mood.

This time, their collaboration moves fully onscreen. The Odyssey stars Matt Damon as the legendary Greek hero Odysseus and boasts a massive ensemble cast that includes Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Elliot Page, and more. With names like that, expectations are sky-high.

Beyond the cast, Nolan is also pushing technical boundaries. The Odyssey is the first narrative film shot entirely on IMAX cameras. Until now, the cameras were considered too loud for dialogue-heavy scenes. A new sound-reducing casing—called a “blimp”—has changed that.

According to Nolan, the upgrade allows actors to whisper on camera while still capturing clean sound, opening the door to intimate performances on a massive visual scale.

Between Scott’s surprise appearance, Nolan’s technical leap, and a stacked cast, The Odyssey is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about films on the horizon. Fans clearly agree—and they’re already counting the days.
