Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi says early detection saved her life after a Stage 1 cervical cancer diagnosis at 38.

Fans first met Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi on MTV’s Jersey Shore, where her bold personality and beach house antics made her a household name.
This week, however, the reality star shared a deeply personal health update that shifted the spotlight from party scenes to prevention.
In an emotional TikTok video, the 38-year-old mom of three revealed she has been diagnosed with Stage 1 cervical cancer, specifically adenocarcinoma.
The diagnosis came after a cone biopsy, a surgical procedure that removes a small piece of tissue from the cervix to test for cancer or precancerous cells.
“My results came back stage 1 cervical cancer,” Polizzi said in the nearly eight-minute clip. “Obviously not the news I was hoping for, but also not the worst news because they caught it so early. Thank God.”
Polizzi explained that she has been dealing with abnormal Pap smear results for the past three to four years. Earlier this year, doctors discovered cancerous cells on her cervix following a colposcopy and biopsy.
That led to the cone biopsy, which confirmed the cancer was present but still in its earliest stage.
Because it was caught early, doctors are optimistic about treatment. Polizzi shared that she will likely undergo a hysterectomy and may need some lymph nodes removed as a precaution.
Despite the serious diagnosis, Polizzi focused her message on awareness. She admitted that fear and discomfort can make routine screenings easy to delay. But she urged women not to make that mistake.
“I’m 38 years old… and now look at me,” she said. “Instead of putting it off because I was scared, I went and did it. And it was there. But it’s only stage 1 and it’s curable.”
Her message is clear: schedule the appointment. Early detection can truly save lives.
