During her guest appearance on Apple TV+’s highly anticipated series Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Nicole Kidman pushed through a severe flu to complete her shoot — and made sure the production didn’t lose a single shot they needed.

Emmy-winning actor Nick Offerman opened up to People, recounting the entire incident. That day, a massive “wrestling fan convention” scene was scheduled — involving hundreds of extras, stunt doubles, and a full production crew ready to go.

“Word came in around 8 a.m. that Nicole had the flu and might not make it in,” Offerman said. “We were all devastated, because this entire setup had been built for just one day.”

Then at 11 a.m. — the news flipped. Nicole Kidman walked onto set.

According to Offerman, Kidman looked “incredibly pale and shaken” when she arrived. But she pushed through every required shot for her character Lace without missing a beat. The moment she wrapped, she was taken straight to the hospital for an IV drip.

“She showed up in total superhero style,” Offerman said. “This is how you become Nicole Kidman — it was so generous and truly astonishing.”

What makes this dedication even more remarkable is that Kidman isn’t just an actress on this show. She also serves as an executive producer through her production company, Blossom Films.

Kidman plays Lace, a retired female wrestler turned legal mediator — a uniquely demanding and unconventional role. Kidman has long been known for seeking out eccentric roles in risky projects that other actresses tend to shy away from.

The series currently holds a 96% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes — proof that the entire team’s hard work, including Kidman’s sacrifice on that sick day, translated powerfully on screen.

New episodes of Margo’s Got Money Troubles drop every Wednesday on Apple TV+, with the season running through May 20, 2026.
