Bella Hadid Eyes a Future in Hollywood After FX’s ‘The Beauty’: “Acting Feels Like Freedom”

Bella Hadid steps into horror with FX’s “The Beauty” — and now the supermodel says acting isn’t a side quest, it’s the dream.

Bella Hadid is known for walking the world’s biggest runways, but now she’s setting her sights on something bigger: a long-term acting career.

The supermodel makes a striking turn in FX’s upcoming body-horror series The Beauty, and according to Hadid, this role could be just the beginning.

Speaking at the show’s New York City premiere, she made it clear that acting isn’t just a fun experiment — it’s something she truly wants to pursue.

“I would love to continue acting,” Hadid said. “This is a dream of mine.”

From Chanel and Dior campaigns to more than 30 international Vogue covers, Hadid has already built one of the most successful modeling careers of her generation.

But she says acting offers something fashion never fully could: movement, emotion, and transformation.

“With acting, you get to be different people for so many different audiences,” she explained. “That’s what I love about it.”

While The Beauty casts Hadid as a supermodel, she insists the role couldn’t be further from her real-life work. In the trailer, her character goes on a violent rampage — a sharp contrast to the polished world she usually inhabits.

“It was honestly the opposite of anything I’ve ever done,” she shared.

Another major reason she signed on? Ryan Murphy. The prolific creator behind American Horror Story and Glee co-created the series, and Hadid says working with him was a dream come true.

“Ryan has such an incredible imagination,” she said. “He brings fantasy into everything, and I really look up to him.”

The Beauty explores a dark and unsettling question: What would people sacrifice to be beautiful? The story centers on a mysterious drug that promises physical perfection — but spreads through sexual contact and comes with terrifying consequences.

Ashton Kutcher stars as a tech billionaire who builds a trillion-dollar empire around it.

Despite the show’s grim themes, Hadid’s personal takeaway is refreshingly simple. When asked what people should really chase instead of perfection, she didn’t hesitate.

“Just be who you are,” she said.

The Beauty premieres with three episodes on Wednesday, Jan. 21, followed by weekly releases.

With a stacked cast and a bold concept, it may also mark the start of Bella Hadid’s next big chapter — this time, on screen.
